Mills Dies of Heart Attack Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. R. O. Mills, who succumbed to a heart attack at a local clinic Sunday night at 10:30 o'clock, were held at the First Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member, Monday afternoon at 3:30, with the pastor, Rev. H. H. McBride, officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Attesting to the esteem in which the deceased was held and to the work that she had performed in the church and the community, were the many beautiful floral offerings. Her favorite songs, rendered by the choir, and the words of praise of the pastor were fitting memorials to her life. Pallbearers were Reggie Gates, R. D. Beville, A. L. Smith, Jesse Corley, S. L. Garrett, and Joe Mitchell. Active in the Winnfield Baptist Church for the past twenty three years, Mrs. Mills had served as superintendent of the Junior Department, circle leader in missionary work, and Sunday School teacher in the First Baptist Church until her failing health prevented her. She was born May Pauline Hudson, November 22, 1885, in Hillsboro, Ark., and was married to R. O. Mills January 15, 1906. They moved to Winnfield from Joyce in 1918 where they have since resided. Surviving are her husband, R. O. Mills, one daughter, Mrs. Houston Gates; mother, Mrs. W. O. Tatum, and one granddaughter, Gloria Jane Gates, all of Winnfield; one brother, C. W. Tatum of Simsboro, La.; two nephews, E. A. Headrick of Alexandria, La., and Murry Hudson of Litroe, La.; and one niece, Mrs. O. A. Tucker, Springhill, La.
