All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 2, 1939 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Robert Milling of New Orleans Dies Mrs. Ida Roberts Milling, wife of Robert Edward Milling, Sr., New Orleans attorney and socially prominent, died Wednesday at her Nashville Avenue home. She was 75 years old and a native of Choctaw County, Alabama. Mrs. Milling is a former resident of Winnfield, coming here as the bride of Mr. Milling, who served as a lawyer and district attorney of this district. Her father, Mr. Roberts, also resided here and both he and the Millings owned large tracts of lands in this section, which now give to the town the Roberts and Milling additions. Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning from the residence with interment in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans. Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Ida M. Chapman, Mrs. Odelle M. Christian, Mrs. Dixie M. Sherman, Robert C., Thomas D., and Robert E. Milling, Jr.; one brother, Earl Roberts of Colfax; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bernstein of Monroe and Mrs. Ruby Stewart of Monroe.
