John W. Mitchell of Dodson Buried at Zion Hill Wed.

John William Mitchell, 70 years of age, who died Monday at his home in Dodson,
was buried in the Zion Hill Cemetery Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.  Funeral
services were held at the Dodson Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Cumbee and Rev.
Cockerham conducting the services.  The Southern Funeral Home was in charge.

Mr. Mithchell moved his family to Dodson from Haynesville, La. about four
years ago.  He had been in ill health for several months and recently his
condition became more critical.  He is a member of the Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Mitchell are his wife; four sons, John Westley Mitchell, Dodson,
La., William Lee Mitchell, Velasco, Texas, James A. Mitchell, Kansas City,
Mo., Joseph D. Mitchell, Kansas City, Mo.; a stepson, Creighton, C. Burton,
Dodson, La.; two (three are listed) sisters, Mrs. Margaret Irwin, Nashville,
Ark., and Mrs. Risa Duncans, Toka, Ark., and Mrs. Lidia McIntyre, Poola,
Okla.; and one brothe, Joe Mitchell, Paula Valley, Okla.
