James I. Mitchell Dies At Wheeling, Funeral Tuesday

James I. Mitchell, well known Winn Parish man, died at his home in Wheeling
community Sunday.  He was 79 years of age.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Methodist Church with
Rev. Roy Atwood officiating.  Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nina Belle Mitchell; six sons, D.
O. Mitchell, L. A. Mitchell, and J. T. Mitchell, all of Montgomery; L. E.
Mitchell and B. T. Mitchell of Natchitoches; and J. C. Mitchell of Shreveport;
two daughters, Mrs. W. C. Johnson of Fryson, La., and Mrs. W. H. Lindsey of
Monroe; 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one brother, D. C.
Mitchell of Montgomery.
