Lesley Hunter and the Rev. T. W. Barnes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Mixon died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 1973 in a Shreveport hospital after a long illness. A native of Goldonna, Mr. Mixon was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sybil A. Mixon of Minden; one son, Lee Roy Mixon, Jr., of Minden; four daughters, Mrs. Joe DeLoach and Mrs. Patricia Hunter, both of Minden, Mrs. Carolyn Page of Dubberly, and Mrs. Helen Antilley of Natchitoches; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Barnes of Minden; three brothers, Charlie Mixon and Johnny Mixon, both of Minden, and R. L. Mixon of Mississippi; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Bryant, Mrs. Bessie Fay Frasier, and Mrs.. Laverne Floyd, all of Minden, and Mrs. Dorothy Jean Mims of Slidell; and 12 grandchildren.
