Mixon Rites Held At Sanders Chapel January 6 Funeral services for Emmit Eugene Mixon, 65, of Lake Charles, were held at Sanders Chapel Church January 6 at 2 p.m., it was announced here this week. Mr. Mixon, a native of Winn Parish, died January 5 after a short illness. Rites were conducted by Sister C. F. Henry, assisted by Bro. C. F. Henry. Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Mr. Mixon was before his death employed in a government plant at Lake Charles. He was a devoted Christian and always took an active part in the cause of the church. Surviving are his widow, one son, Emmit Eugene of Lake Charles; four daughters, Mrs. Howard Hoab of New Orleans, Mrs. J. J. Craig of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Hay Hall of Eagan (only three listed in the obit); five grandchildren; two brothers, Jep M. Mixon of Goldonna and Lee Mixon of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. C. D. Goldyn of Jonesboro, Mrs. W. S. Carter of Calvin, Mrs. F. O. Lattier of Winnfield, and Mrs. T. M. Carson of Winnfield.
