Charles Hutzler, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Mixon died Monday in Willis-Knighton Hospital after a long illness. A native of Ruston, he had lived in Shreveport, two and a half years. He was retired from the U. S. Army and was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Delphine M. Mixon of Shreveport; a son, Darold G. Mixon of Hot Springs, Ark., a sister, Mrs. Inez Shively, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Charles M. Johnson of Shreveport and Mrs. B. K. Gordy of Houston, Tex.; and seven grandchildren. [NOTE: Son of B.H. Mixon & Alma Stewart (buried at New Hope Cemetery).]
