C. Melton, near Moore station, on the L. & A. Railroad, was taken sick Monday morning with acute indigestion and died Tuesday morning. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. D. Posey of Winnfield, at Welcome Home Church, near Moore Station. In Memory Of Little Carmen Charline Melton In memory of Little Carmen Charline Melton, born November 4, 1922, died November 11, 1924. We had a little treasure once; She was our joy and pride; We loved her; Ah! perhaps too well, for soon she slept and died. Last Tuesday morning just as the sun came up over the eastern hills to dry away the fresh dew drops, the soul of little Carmen Melton went to live with God, her Creator. We can not now understand why one so young and lovely should be taken away from a home where she was so much loved by every member of the family and all who knew her. To the bereaved father, mother, sisters, brothers, we offer this consolation, that her little hands will beckon them on, and it's short stay here on earth will teach them to follow her to that Home Eternal, where sickness and sorrow never come and where there will be no more good byes.
