Death Takes E. M. Melton At Home Here Monday

Funeral Services Held at Moore Cemetery Tuesday with Rev. Stokes in Charge

E. M. Melton, 76 years of age, died at his home a few miles south of Winnfield
Monday, from a stroke of paralysis, and an illness of several weeks.  Funeral
services were held at the Moore Cemetery Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev.
Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, in charge.

The deceased is survived by his widow and ten children.  They are Walker and
Bud Melton of Packton, Mrs. Kate Mosley of Alpine, Texas, Mrs. Ruby Harpin of
Vicksburg, Miss., and Mrs. Molly Stevens of Packton, who are sons and
daughters by a former marriage.  Children by the surviving widow are Susie,
Irvin, Ruth, Mack, and Melba.

He is also survived by two brothers, W. D. and Marion Melton, of Winnfield;
and two sisters, Mrs. I. E. Wise of Packton and Mrs. Anna Till of Appleby,
Texas.
