All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: October 31, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Louis Moffett Succumbs; Buried At Gansville Mrs. Cora Frazier Moffett, 50, a resident of the Dodson community, died at her home suddenly from a heart attack at 3 p.m. Monday. She was found sitting on her couch with her Bible in hand. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Siloam Baptist Church at Gansville, with Rev. George Foster, Rev. Kenneth Wall, and Rev. E. W. Evans officiating. Burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Moffett, a beloved resident of the parish was active in church and civic work. She was a member of one of the oldest families in that area. Survivors are her husband, Rev. Louis Moffett,of Dodson; one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Whitehead, Baton Rouge; one granddaughter; her mother, Mrs. P. C. Frazier, Angleton, Texas; three brothers, Norris and Nalbro Frazier, both of Angleton, and Lester Frazier, with the U. S. Air Force in Massachusetts; four sisters, Mrs. Vivian Cutrer, Shreveport; Mrs. Lela Marshall, Mrs. Alva Scott, and Mrs. Peggy Parr, all of Angleton, Texas.
