Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Moffett died suddenly Thursday, June 27, at his home in Houston. He was the son of the late N. M. Moffett, pioneer Winn Parish settler. He spent much of his earlier life in Winn parish and had resided in Houston for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church where he served on the board of deacons and was a retired oil field employee. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Drenon Garner of Perryton, Tex.; two sons, Charles and Marvin Moffett of Houston; four brothers, T. C. Moffett of San Antonio, Tex., Dudley Moffett of Houston, Clifford , Jennings, and J. M. of Ventura, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. E. T. Bishop of Natchitoches, Mrs. Ola Nelson, Bunn, Tex., Mrs. W. R. Watts, Lake Charles, and Mrs. Dayton Jones of Winnfield; and three grandchildren.
