Brother of Calvin Resident Dies in California

Mrs. D. D. Jones of Calvin received word last Friday of the sudden death by a
heart attack of her brother, Mertz Moffett, of Fillmore, California, on July
18.

Burial was Saturday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m.

Survivors include his wife, the former Lillie Ward of Itasia, Texas; three
married children, Rodney, Joyce, and Joan of California; four grandchildren,
three brothers, Tom Moffett, San Antonio, Tex., Dudley Moffett, Houston, Tex.,
Clifford Moffett, Jennings; four sisters, Mrs. Rena Bishop, Natchitoches,
Mrs. Ola Nelson, Buna, Texas, Mrs. D. D. Jones, Calvin, Mrs. Merle Watts, twin
of Mr. Moffett, New Orleans.
