Mrs. Monroe, 48, Dies After Short Illness

Mrs. Ruby Monroe, 48, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 1972 at her Route 1,
Goldonna residence following a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Monroe of Goldonna; five sons, Lester
Monroe, Troy Monroe, Walter Lee Monroe, and Robert Monroe, all of Goldonna,
and Arthur Monroe, Jr., of Minden; two daughters, Mrs. _______ Grillette of
Camptil and Mrs. Jessie Mae Wood of Goldonna; her mother, Mrs. Jessie Rhymes
of Goldonna; five brothers, Willie Rhymes and L. V. Rhymes, both of Goldonna,
J. B. Rhymes of Springhill, Robert Rhymes of Creston, and Lyn Rhymes of
Oklahoma and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Goldonna Baptist Church
with Rev. Kit Hathorn officiating.  Burial was in Goldonna Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
