Last Rites For George W. Moore Held Wednesday

Funeral services for George W. Moore, 77, who died Monday at a Pineville
hospital after a short illness, were held at Hixson Chapel, Winnfield at 11
a.m. Wednesday.  Burial was in the Melton Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Ernest Melton, Henry Nugent, E. F. Nugent, clyde
Hearst, Walter Dinkens, and Fred Grimmett.

A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Moore had been a resident of Shreveport for the
past eight years.

Survivors are his widow; three sons, Johnnie, George, and Herman, all of
Shreveport; three daughters, Mrs. Thedos Lyles, Mrs. Vera Grimmett, and Miss
Sarah Moore, all of Shreveport; one brother, W. M. Moore of Winnfield;
three half brothers, Leon and Wade, of Winnfield, and J. D. of Shreveport;
three half sisters, Mrs. W. E. Smith and Mrs. Maude Jordan of Winnfield, and
Mrs. Sally Coburn of Shreveport.
