C. Mooty, Sr., of Route One, Montgomery, died in the Pacific on March 15. The War Department message stated that he died as a result of teratomatise, and would be interred in an Allied Cemetery in the Pacific, pending cessation of hostilities. Edgar had been in the service almost three years, enlisting on May 6, 1942. He visited home in January this year, enroute to California to be shipped out. He had been in the Pacific only about three weeks.
