Moorhead Rites Conducted On February 26 "Uncle Henry" Was Winnfield Resident For 21 Years Funeral services were held at the Rose Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport at 2 p.m. February 26, 1952 for H. A. Moorhead, 78, former Winnfield resident, with interment in Centuries Memorial Park. The Rev. Earl Stephens, Jr., officiated. Mr. Moorhead was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Winnfield. Mr. Moorhead, known to most everyone as "Uncle Henry", and a friend to all, white and colored, was born February 9, 1874 at Brooksville, Miss., and made his home in Winnfield for the past 21 years. He retired from business recently because of his health, and entered the P. & S. Hospital in Shreveport for treatment. With Mrs. Moorhead, he had made his home recently with their granddaughter, Mrs. Buck Roberts, at 3110 Chestnut Street in Shreveport. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, H. C. Moorhead; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Fred L. Robben, Jr., Buck Roberts, J. R. Sholars, Herbert Harrison, Sr., Quincy Lincecum, and Baylor Culpepper. Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Bob Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Harrison, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sholars, Mary Sue Moorhead, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Roberts and Jenny, Mrs. Ioris Boyett and H. C. Moorhead, all of Winnfield; Mrs. Fred L. Robben, Sr., Mrs. Pat McGee and Miss Ruth English, all of Texarkana, Ark., Mrs. Roy Couch of Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. George Bennett and Mrs. Mark Irving of Monroe, and Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Brister and Mrs. L. R. Irving of Minden.
