Matthew Moore succumbs; rites held Tuesday

Matthew Winford Moore, 86, of Winnfield died Sunday March 1 at 1 pm at
Winnfield General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was a retired farmer and a native of Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife - Mrs. Katie McDonald Moore of Winnfield;
three brothers, J.D. Moore of Shreveport, Wade Moore and Leon Moore,
both of Winnfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Maude Jordan and Mrs. Anna
Smith, both of Winnfield and Mrs. Sally Coburn of Shreveport.

Funeral services were held at 10 am Tuesday at Atlanta Baptist Church
with Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Burial was in the Melton Cemetery near
Winnfield.

Matthew (b. 11/11/1884) married Katie McDonald (8/19/1893 -
3/01/1987) on 3/28/1909.
