G. C. Moore, 71, of Dodson Dies After Long Illness

Funeral services for Grover Cleveland Moore, 71, retired resident of Dodson,
who died in a Jonesboro hospital Tuesday at 6:45 p.m., following a long
illness, were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Dodson Baptist Church.  Dr. W.
L. Holcomb of Winnfield and the Rev. Mr. Thompson of Jonesboro, officiated. 
Burial followed in the Transport Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were G. W. Price, E. J. Hogan, Ed Terrell, P. C. Finlay,
B. F. Temple, and W. D. Temple.

A native of Bienville Parish, Mr. Moore had been a reisdent of Dodson since
1916.  He was a member and a deacon of the Dodson Baptist Church and was the
last member of a family of 13 children.

Surviving are his wife of Dodson; two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Warren of
Winnfield and Mrs. J. W. Tumlin of Hodge.  He also leaves five grandchildren.
