Moore, Retired Railroader, Succumbs Feb. 10 James N. Moore, 75 years, 21 days of age, died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at a Winnfield hospital. He was a retired employee of the L & A Railway, having served them 23 years before retiring 11 years ago. A native of Grant Parish, mr. Moore had been a resident at 1800 Maple Street, Winnfield, for the past 12 years. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at Hixson Bros. Chapel, Winnfield, with Mr. Albert Sexton of DeQuincy and Mr. Jack Mulkey of Hammond, officiating. Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Grant Parish. Acting as pallbearers were Leroy Price, James Skains, Charles Dunn, Glen Billiter, Clarence Nield, and Ray LaPrarie. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Mosley Moore, Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. M. C. (Wanda) Ekelund of Mobile, Ala.,; two grandchildren, James and Jeanine Ekelund; two brothers, Frank Moore, Pioneer, La., and Allen Moore, Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. O. J. Broussard, Houston, Texas.
