Morris Life-Long Citizen Of Parish Dies Held In High Esteem, Buried At Gansville Tuesday Willie Morris, a life long resident of Gansville, died suddenly at five o'clock Sunday afternoon at the age of 78 years. Mr. Morris, a leading citizen of his community, was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church. When a young man, he married to Miss Amanda Pyburn, who with their four children, Mrs. R. L. Haigler, of Wyatt; Mrs. T. C. Moffett, of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Critman Barnes, of Jonesboro; and Mr. Hasson Morris, of Winnfield, survive him. He was buried at Gansville, Tuesday, Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor of the Baptist Church, Winnfield, conducting the services. The high esteem in which Mr. Morris was held was attested to by the large crowd who attended his funeral, some of the number being colored people, who had been tentants on the Morris farm.
