D. Morgan Mrs. Maud Jackson Morgan, 65, widow of the late M. D. Morgan, died in a local hospital at 3 p.m. Wednesday after a long illness. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 4 p.m. at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Flurry officiating, assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes. Burial was to be in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Morgan had lived most of her life in Winnfield although she was born in Shelby County, Texas. She was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, Floyd Claude and Roy of Alexandria; one daughter, Mrs. F. P. Danforth of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Byron and Ben Jackson of Winnfield; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
