Moore of Minden Succumbs April Eleventh Luther Carter Moore, 56, died at his home in Minden Wednesday, April 11, 1945 following a long illness. He had been an L. & A. railroad employee for the past 35 years and was chief clerk in the Minden office at the time of his death. He was a deacon in the Minden First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held in Minden Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Vernon C. Miles, pastor of the Minden Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Moore is a former resident of Winnfield and his wife is the former Ida Wallace of Winnfield. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. W. S. Emmons, Jr., and Miss Mary Moore, both of San Diego, California; one son, Luther William Moore, his mother Mrs. L. W. Moore of Minden; one brother, C. J. Moore of Little Rock, Ark., and one sister, Mrs. J. L. Liggin of Selma.
