Mrs. W. B. Morgan Funeral Held In Alexandria July 19

Mrs. Merril Jane Morgan, 39, daughter of Mrs. E. A. Weeks of Winnfield and the
late Mr. Weeks, died in the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, July 18.  A native
of Winnfield and a graduate of the Winnfield High School, Mrs. Morgan had made
her home in Alexandria for about 20 years.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home Chapel, Alexandria, with Rev. Virgil D. Morris officiating.  Burial was
in the Greenwood Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband, Winfred B. Morgan, one son, Winfred B. Morgan,
Jr., one daughter, Miss Cora Virginia Morgan, all of Alexandria; four
brothers, E. A. Weeks of Jonesboro, James R. Weeks of El Dorado, James J.
Weeks of Winnfield, and Charles L. Weeks of Long Beach, Calif.; three sisters,
Miss Dorothy Weeks of Alexandria, Miss Marjorie Weeks of Winnfield, and Mrs.
Frank Chapman of Long Beach, Calif.; and her mother, Mrs. Emma Peters Weeks of
Winnfield.

Mrs. Morgan was also the niece of Mrs. Josie Holmes and John J. Peters of
Winnfield.
