David A. Morse, 46, Dies; Rites At Old Union

Funeral services for David Alton Morse, 46, who died Monday, October 25, 1971,
in the Veterans Hospital in Pineville, were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Union
Baptist Church near Winnfield with the Rev. Wilmer Jordan and the Rev. Billy
Smithart officiating.  Burial was in Union Cemetery with full military honors.

Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield had charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Katie Morse, Winnfield; two sons, David Morse
and Sammy Morse of Winnfield; one daughter, Susan Morse of Winnfield; father, J.
D. Morse of Winnfield; three brothers, John D. Morse of Lake Charles, Allan Morse
of St. Joseph, and Billy Morse of Georgetown; two sisters, Mrs. Richard McCartney
of Ruston, andMiss Kathryn Morse of Winnfield.
