Aged Citizen of Gansville Dies

W. H. Morris, age 76 years, father of Hasson Morris of Winnfield, died at his
home at Gansville Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock.

Mr. Morris came to Winn Parish from Vernon, sixty-eight years ago with his
parents who settled near Gansville.  He married and had lived on the same
homestead for more than fifty years where he died.  He is survived by his
wife, three daughters, Mrs. Crittenden Barnes of Jonesboro, Mrs. J. C. Moffett
of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. R. L. Hagler of Wyatt, La., and Mr. Hasson Morris
of Winnfield.  Also a brother, C. H. Morris of Shreveport.

The deceased was buried in the Gansville Cemetery Tuesday, the Rev. A. H.
Cullen, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, conducting the
services.
