Former Winn Native Dies In Calif.

News has been received of the death of Mrs. Kate Melton Mosley, 85, of Alpine,
Texas, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katie Vardeman, in Fresno,
Calif., two weeks ago. Last rites were held in Fresno.

She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Stevens, Winnfield, and Mrs. Ruby
Charping, Vicksburg, Miss.; and one brother, B. E. "Walker" Melton,
Georgetown, Rt. 1; two sons and four daughters.

She was the daughter of the late E. M. "Mack" Melton and Laura Tyson Melton of
Winn Parish.
