Funeral Rites For Calvin Native Held

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Sanders Chapel Church near here
for Mrs. Lela Pearl Moss, 80, of Cameron.

The Rev. Arby Coody officiated with burial in Sanders Chapel Cemetery under
the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Moss died Wednesday, June 30, 1971 at a Lake Charles nursing home
following a lengthy illness.

A native of Calvin, she was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas W. Chestnut of Santa Rora, Calif., and
William J. Chestnut of Springfield, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Murphy of
Cameron and Mrs. P. Pottichen of Honolulu, Hawaii; one brother, C. W. Carson
of Pineville; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
