Funeral Services For Lorenza Moss Held Sunday P.M.

Funeral services for Lorenza Webster Moss, colored, wife of Frank Moss,
employee for many years at the local L. & A. station, were held last Sunday
afternoon at the Morning Star Baptist Church, followed by interment in the
Winnfield Colored Cemetery.

She died in a hospital in New Orleans on January 17, following an illness of
several months.  The daughter of Melinda Brown, the deceased was married to
Frank Moss in 1916, and except for a year in Texas, the couple have resided in
Winnfield since that time.  She is the mother of twelve children, nine of
whom with her husband, Frank, survive her.  Her children living in Winnfield
are Frankie Moran, Marjorie Williams, Lolo Lease Moss, Glen Moss, Delores Dell
Moss, Donald Moss, and Louise Levi; Roy B. Moss and Doretha Moss, both
students at Southern University, Scotlandville, La.
