Morgan Dies In Alexandria Hospital, Tuesday, October 11 M. D. Morgan, age 53 years, 6 months, and 8 days, died at the Baptist Hospital, Alexandria, October 11, 8 p.m. Mr. Morgan was an employee of the Rock Island Railway and has been section foreman here for many years. He was taken ill on September 19 and was in the hospital for three weeks. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mr. Morgan was born near Kelly, La., April 3, 1874. He was married to Miss Maud Jackson, March 7, 1900 at Benson, La. He is survived by his widow and three children: Mrs. Fred Danforth of Little Rock, Ark.; Claud Morgan of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Roy Morgan of Winnfield. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Rev. P. M. Caraway assisted by Rev. A. H. Cullen had charge of the services, the Masonic Lodge officiating at the ceremony. A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral and the many beautiful floral offerings attested the esteem in which Mr. Morgan was held. Out of town people attending the funeral of Mr. Morgan were: Mrs. B. D. Finley of Olla; Mrs. Dave Jackson and children of Dodson; Ben Jackson and wife, LeCompte; Mr. D. D. Gay and wife, Ruston; Mrs. Hope Watts, Alexandria; Mrs. John Kelly, Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. Chas Kelly, Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Wood of Dodson; Mr. Finley, Mrs. W. E. Barber, Mrs. Lou Parham, Olla; Mr. J. J. Goss and G. O. Cagle, Bernice.
