Mrs. Attie Mixon, Calvin Native, Succumbs Fri.

Mrs. Attie Carl Mixon, 81, of Winnfield, died at 5 p.m. Friday, February 26,
1971, in the Winnfield General Hospital, after a long illness.  She was a
native of Calvin.

She is survived by three sons, R. C. Mixon of Lake Charles, Edward Mixon of
Winnsboro, and Willard Mixon of St. Landry; four daughters, Mrs. Essie Cloud,
Mrs. Myrtie James, and Mrs. Maudie L . James, all of Winnfield, and Mrs.
Estelle Spearman of Crowville; one brother, Charlie Carson of Pitkin; two
sisters, Mrs. Leila Moss of Lake Charles and Mrs. Tiny Bundrick of Calvin; 35
grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Sanders Chapel Methodist
Church with Rev. S. E. Lum, Rev. W. F. Harrel, and Eugene F. Love officiating.
Burial was in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers
Funeral Home.
