Mary Bessie Martin

Services for Mary Bessie Martin were held Sunday, February 21 at 3 p.m. in the
chapel of Southern with the Rev. James Simons officiating.  Burial was in
Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Winnfield.

Mrs. Martin, 77, of Winnfield died Saturday, February 20, 1988 at her
residence.

She was a retired teacher and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and
Palestine Chapter No. 55 (Order of Eastern Star).

Survivors include her husband, Van Martin, of Winnfield; two sons, Thomas
Martin and Mack Martin, both of Winnfield; one daughter, Barbara Nell Clark,
of Winnfield; one sister, Beverly Jean Polk of Winnsboro; 10 grandchildren and
three great grandchildren.
