Martin, 68, who died Sunday at his home in Calvin, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 27, 1960, at the Calvin Baptist Church with Rev. E. D. Smith, pastor, and Rev. C. C. Martin officiating. Burial was in the Couley Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were George Tannehill, Olen Aycock, Robin Saddox, James McConnell, Winston Smith, James Whatley, James Hemphill, and Horace Alexander. Born and reared in Winn Parish, Mr. Martin was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church and employee of the Federal Forest Service. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Eunice Luther Martin; three daughters, Mrs. Dayton Sullivan and Mrs. F. B. Ferrier, Calvin, and Ms. H. D. Canerday, Natchitoches; one brother, Alvin Martin, Winnfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Keiffer, Montgomery, and Mrs. H. T. Nichols, Pineville.
