All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: November 5, 1980 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Oswald Martin Funeral services for Oswald Martin, 1000 Elm Street, Winnfield, Louisiana, were held Sunday afternoon, November 2, 1980, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Phelps, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites conducted by Eugene F. Love, 33rd Degree Mason. Mr. Martin, 77, died Friday, October 23, in Winnfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a Winn Parish native, a retired furniture owner and a member for over 26 years of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151, Free and Accepted Masons, Winnfield, Louisiana. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ophelia Curry Martin of Winnfield; one son, Bobby J. Martin of Vidor, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Muse of Many, Louisiana; one brother, Alton Martin, of Winnfield; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, all sons of the late Cecil Martin of Calvin: James Martin, John Martin, and Kenneth Martin, all of Calvin, Louisiana; Robert Martin of the Bethlehem Community near Winnfield, and Frank Martin of Jena, Louisiana.
