Martin Succumbs In Ward 10 Aug. 26 Mrs. Tinnie Clifton Martin, 67 years, six months, and 12 days of age, died at her home on Route Two, Jonesboro, August 26, 1944, and was buried at the Yankee Springs Cemetery August 27. Rev. Paul Durbin conducted the service with the Southern Funeral Home in charge of the burial. Mrs. Martin was born and reared in Winn Parish, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Clifton of Ward Ten. She was married to Prentice J. Martin of Natchitoches Parish on Dec. 8, 1891. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by four children: Mrs. A. C. Gilbert of Monroe; Mrs. Ben Martin of Columbia; Mrs. Carl Belcher of Haynesville; and Mrs. Hicks Martin of Jonesboro. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and six sisters: Mrs. J. O. Durbin, Jonesboro; Mrs. Ethel Jones, Goldonna; Mrs. Angie Malone and Mrs. Maggie Madden, Winnfield; Mrs. Novella Dean, Goldonna; and Mrs. C. H. Rushing, Dodson.
