Former Resident of Winnfield Dies at Her Home in Monroe

Funeral services for Mrs. Dottie Meredith Mathis, 50, who died at her home in
Monroe Sunday at 6:30 p.m. were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist
Church in Columbia with the Rev. Mr. Kitchingham, assisted by Rev. I. L.
Yeager and Rev. Mr. Morris, officiating.  Interment was in the Columbia
Cemetery.

Mrs. Mathis was a former resident of Winnfield and is well known in this
section.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leland Flanagan, a graduate
nurse of Monroe, and two brothers, Sam Meredith of Shreveport and Ansley
Meredith of Columbia.
