All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 17, 1932 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Annie Murry, Suicide Victim, Buried At Sikes 19 Year Old Bride, Formerly of Sikes, Commits Suicide At Hodge Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Murry, 19 year old wife of a paper mill worker at Hodge, were held Sunday afternoon at Sikes, former home of the girl. Mrs. Murry died at 10:40 a.m., Saturday from self-administered poison, according to Dr. E. Blume, Jackson Parish Coroner. She swallowed two and one-half ounces of disinfectant after a quarrel with her husband, he said. Death came 40 minutes later. The suicide, occurring at the couple's home in Hodge, was unknown to the husband until reports reached him at the mill, where he had started the day's work. Mrs. Murry, before her marriage three months ago was Miss Annie Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Dan Young of Sikes. Besides her parents, she is survived by three brothers and six sisters.
