Myers, Son, Hebron Natives, Die Jacob Payton Myers, 75, of Alexandria, La., died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 1970 in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Biloxi, 24 hours after one of his four sons, Jacob Thomas Myers, died in the VA Hospital at Pineville, La. He was a native of the Hebron Community in Winn Parish and a retired farmer. Survivors include three sons, Rudolph Myers of Houston, Texas, Glenn Myers of Alexandria, and Carl Myers of Westlake, La.; one daughter, Mrs. Roxie Reeves of Ferriday, La.; two brothers, Hobson Myers of Grayson, La., and Homer Myers, of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Lelia Robertson of Nederland, Tex., and Mrs. Carrie Gregory of Grayson, La., 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Hebron Baptist Church at Sikes with Rev. J. C. Eubanks of Urania, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, Alexandria. Funeral services for the son, Jacob T. Myers, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home, Alexandria, with Rev. Waynon Mott officiating. Burial was in National Cemetery.
