L. Myrick, former Winnfield resident, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Alexandria with Reverend with Reverend Schuyler Batson, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Myrick died suddenly at 6 a.m. Sunday, March 8, of a heart attack, at her home in Alexandria. She had been ill two months and was due to undergo heart surgery in the near future. She was a native of El Dorado, Arkansas, but had resided in Alexandria for 25 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where she had served as Nursery Coordinator for 15 years. She leaves her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Rose West, Conway, Arkansas; Mrs. Bob Earnest and Mrs. Ed Daley, Newport News, Virginia; and one son, Lamar Myrick, New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Cledieth Doerge, Houston, Texas; and one brother, Albin Wooley, Baton Rouge.
