Milling, former district attorney of Winn Parish, died at her New Orleans home Wednesday of last week following an illness of several months. Mrs. Milling is the sister of Earl Roberts, prominent businessman of Colfax. She came to Winnfield with her husband, Mr. Milling, soon after their marriage in Alabama, her home. Later her parents moved to this parish and the families acquired vast land holdings in and around Winnfield. Funeral services were held Thursday morning from the New Orleans residence and interment was in the Metairie Cemetery there. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida M. Chapman, Mrs. Odelle M. Christian, and Mrs. Dixie Sherman, three sons, Robert E. Milling, Jr., and Thomas D. Milling, of New Orleans, and one brother, Earl Roberts, Colfax, two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Stewart and Mrs. Henry Bernstein of Monroe. (Submitted by Greggory Ellis Davies, Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA.)
