Funeral Rites For Mrs. Bessie Nichols Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Martin Nichols, 84, of Winnfield, were held
at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with Maylon
Smith officiating.  Burial was in Double Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Nichols died Tuesday, April 20, 1971 at Rapides General Hospital in
Alexandria after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include __________ G. Nichols of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs.
Obera Rowell of Winnfield and Mrs. Bessie Franklin of Alexandria; a brother,
Alvin Martin of Winnfield; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
