Funeral Rites For Mrs. Bessie Nicholson Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Nicholson, 83, of Winnfield, were held at
1:30 p.m. Sunday at Burk's Chapel in Winnfield.  Burial was in Grambling under
the direction of Ben Johnson Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mrs. Nicholson, who is the mother of Collie J. Nicholson, Director of Public
Relations at Grambling College, died Thursday night, February 4, 1971 in
Lincoln General Hospital after a long illness.

She is survived by one other son, Artee Nicholson, Beaumont, Tex.; two
daughters, Mrs. Idelia Boyd, Cleveland, Miss., and Mrs. Doris Dawson of
Madrid, Spain; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
