Colored Deaths

Lula Nash

Lula Nash of 110 Boone Street died August 2, 1966 at the age of 83.

A native of Natchitoches Parish, she resided in Winnfield for 21 years.  She
was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted August 7 at 2 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist
Church with Rev. M. A. Jones officiating.  Interment was in the Choctaw Island
Cemetery, Irma, La.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Nash, Jr., of Houston, Texas; Leo Nash of
Natchitoches; and John L. Nash of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Rosa B. Nora
of Natchitoches; Essie Darrett of Houston, Texas; and Eleanor Holmes of
Winnfield; two brothers, Albert Dias of Clarence and Roy Dias of Houston,
Texas; two sisters, Amelia Daniel of Shreveport and Gertrude Turner of
Natchitoches; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
