Neal of Wheeling Brother of Mrs. Shaw and Mrs. Blanche McGinty Succumbs Grady L. Neal, 38 years of age, died at his home at Wheeling on Sunday, May 10, 1936, following an attack of heart trouble. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Mt. Zion M. P. Church with the Rev. Jones and the Rev. Mrs. Felix Wardlow in charge. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Sion Jenkins, Earl Hughes, Earl Johnson, Hershel Hughes, Sam Fowler, and Clifford Fowler. Honorary pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Irvin Neal, Gilbert Neal, Harry Neal, Frank Shaw, Jr., Merle Gunn, and Loyd McNauthton. Grady L. Neal was born near Winnfield October 9, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Neal. He spent practically his entire life in the Wheeling Community where he farmed. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church and the Montgomery Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Vester Neal; one son, Oliver, age 9, and one daughter, Martha Leah, age 4; his father, John H. Neal, step-mother, four sisters, Mrs. Ezra McNaughton, Harmon; Mrs. Frank L. Shaw and Mrs. Blanche McGinty, Winnfield; Mrs. Wiley Gunn, Wheeling; six brothers, Felix, Matt, and J. T. Neal of Wheeling; Heard Neal, Lefores, Texas; Edmond Neal, Dubach, and Oswald Neal, Olla; and two half brothers, Quinn Neal, Perryville, and Elisha Neal, Montgomery.
