Matt Neal, 82, Dies; Rites To Be At Mt. Zion

Matt Neal, 82, of the Wheeling Community, near Montgomery, died at his home
Tuesday, December 15, 1970, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Methodist
Church with Rev. G. A. McVay officiating.  Interment, under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertie Neal of Wheeling; one son, John E.
Neal of Wheeling; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Flanagan of Wheeling, Mrs. Freda
Cooley of Picayune, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Gunn of Montgomery, seven
grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

Locally, he was the uncle of Frank Shaw, Jr.
