All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** >From the January 3, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise-News American Final rites for Willis Edmund Neal, Sr., 64, of the Wheeling Community, who died at his residence Saturday, Dec. 29, 1956, were held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. D. S. Durand officiating. Assisting with the services sere Mrs. Lula Wardlow of Montgomery and Rev. T. A. Brown of Monroe. Burial followed in the cemetery at Dubach, La. Acing as pallbearers were Odis Garner, James Cardozier, Henry Keiffer, Mac McGinty, Frank Fredieu, and Prentice Ferguson. A lifelong resident of the Wheeling Community, Mr. Neal was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Neal; three brothers, Matt Neal of DeRidder, Felix Neal of Wheeling, and J. T. Neal of Ferriday; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gunn of Wheeling, and Mrs. Blanche McGinty of Winnfield; three sons, William E. Neal, Jr., of Lillie, Robert W. Neal of Gibsland, and Terry H. Neal of Waskom, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Horn of Wheeling, and Mrs. Macie Shaw of Bossier City. He also leaves nine grandchildren.
