William Newsom of Sikes Succumbs Early Sunday A. M.

Funeral Services Held Sunday Afternoon at Sikes Church

William Newsom, age 76, a member of one of the pioneer families of Winn Parish
succumbed at his home at Sikes early Sunday morning.  He was born in Winn
Parish and was a member of a family of fourteen children, two brothers and
four sisters who survive him: Doc Newsom, Crowville, Dr. L. B. Newsom, West
Monroe, Miss Ollie Newsom, Olla, Mrs. Anna Newsom, Sikes, Mrs. Sibbie Jarrel,
Columbia, and Mrs. Nora Williams, Harrisonburg.
