Funeral Services For Hugh Newsom Slated At Sikes

Funeral services will be held at Sikes Friday at 2 p.m. for Albert H. "Hugh"
Newsom, who died Tuesday in Temple, Texas.  The body was to arrive here
today with the arrangements set tomorrow.

Mr. Newsom was born January 22, 1889 in Sikes.  He is survived by one son,
Hugh Newsom, Jr., of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Chris Newsom of Sikes,
Wallace Newsom of Jackson, Miss., Troy Newsom of Lake Charles, and Sam Newsom
of Dallas, Texas.

Services will be at the Sikes Baptist Church with burial in the Sikes
Cemetery.
