Mrs. C. D. Newman, Pneumonia Victim, Dies Wed. March 21

Mrs. Gertrude Fatheree Newman, wife of C. D. Newman, died Wednesday afternoon
March 21 at vie o'clock after a two weeks illness of influenza and pneumonia.

Mrs. Newman spent her girlhood days in Winnfield and was a graduate of the
Winnfield High School and has many friends who were grieved to learn of her
death.

She leaves, besides her husband, three little children.  Fern, age 5, Doyle,
4, and a baby son, James William, three weeks old; her father and mother, Mr.
and Mrs. J. W. Fatheree of Gilbert and many other relatives to mourn the early
passing of this splendid young life.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon by Dr. C. C. Wier and the
remains were interred in the Winnfield Cemetery.
