Mrs. Newsom, Mother of Area Residents, Dies

Mrs. Lizzie Newsom, age 103, was buried at Springhill Church, Ward 6, Caldwell
Parish, last Wednesday.

She was the mother of Mrs. Curt Hatten of Winn Parish and Mrs. Minnie Roberts
of Kelly.

Mrs. Newsom was very active until she passed the 100 mark, enjoying club work
and quilting.

She had resided in Columbia Heights Nursing Home for a couple of years.  She
was loved by young and old.
