Loyd R. Newsom

Services for Loyd R. Newsom, 63, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in
Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating.

Burial was in Harmony Grove Cemetery

Mr. Newsom died Wednesday, October 1, 1980, in St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in
Alexandria.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church of
Winnfield.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Dee Newsom of Winnfield; two
daughters, Mrs. Nell Cheek of Beaumont, Texas, and Mrs. Susan Ferguson of
Tioga; a brother, C. M. Newsom of Sikes; a sister, Mrs. Annie Bell Parker of
Urania; six grandchildren and a great grandchild.
